  1. Definitions of Terms

Transportation: It is the delivery of goods from us as the seller to your address as the buyer, which you have provided in the order. It can be carried out by the seller’s own vehicle or an external company. For fireplace stones, unloading is performed at the same ground level as the access road where the vehicle is located during unloading. Note: (if obstacles need to be overcome during unloading, it is already considered moving).

Moving: It is the relocation of goods to the installation site, or assembly, during which obstacles are overcome, such as stairs, thresholds, curbs, frames of portal or French windows, or overcoming slopes with a greater incline than 10°, etc. Note: Moving does not include the transport of goods on a pallet on a flat surface, at the ground level of the road, where a pallet truck can be used, up to a distance of 20 meters from the carrier’s vehicle. The price for moving is specified in the price list below and depends on the weight of the goods and the number of obstacles (stairs, etc.).

Installation: It involves unpacking and placing the goods (fireplace stoves) from the pallet to the installation site, connecting flue pipes, connecting external air ducts, and other services described in the section: What Does a Standard Installation and Connection Include.

Assembly of Tiled Fireplace Stoves: It is the assembly of stones into a whole from individual parts at the customer’s site, in the installation location. Note: Only tiled fireplace stoves, which are transported in a disassembled state due to the fragility of the tiles, are included.

  2. Transportation of Fireplace Stoves
  • The transportation of goods (fireplace stones) is carried out by delivery vans with hydraulic fronts. The access route must be appropriate, especially with a height clearance of 3.2 meters.
  • During the winter season, snow must be cleared, and the accessibility of the access route to the house must be ensured.
  • Transportation can be performed by the seller’s own vehicle or by an external company.
  • The date (schedule) of transportation, moving, and installation will be agreed upon in advance by our employee who plans the installations.
  • If the customer cancels the installation appointment within 48 hours before the agreed date, they forfeit the right to free transportation (installations and transportation are planned to allow for multiple installations in the same location on the same day).
  • The exact installation time will be communicated to you in the afternoon of the day before installation by our technician, who is compiling a detailed route plan.
  • Extra transportation before the installation date is subject to a fee, as specified in the price list for moving and related services.

3. Moving Fireplace Stoves

  • Moving fireplace stones is a paid service, according to the price list below.
  • The installation of fireplace stones is a paid service according to the price list below.
  • Moving fireplace stones from the carrier’s vehicle to the installation site is carried out using handling techniques (pallet truck, dolly, electric stair-climber).This does not involve the lifting of stones.
  • Moving on narrow or winding stairs cannot be done due to insufficient space for handling equipment. Manual lifting is not performed in such cases!
  • For moving on forested, muddy, sloping over 10°, or unpaved access roads, the customer is required to provide assistance.
  • For moving on forested, muddy, sloping over 10°, or unpaved access roads, the customer will be charged an additional fee according to the price list.
  • In extreme cases where there is a risk of damage to goods, property, or injury to persons involved in the moving process, the technician may decide to interrupt the moving process, and the goods will only be delivered to the customer.
  • Work beyond the scope of standard moving will be charged according to the price list. This includes, for example, clearing the access route, dismantling furniture, paintings, mirrors, making improvised stairs (for new constructions), etc.
  • The step height of the stairs is 27cm.

Installation and connection of fireplace stoves will proceed as follows:

  • We will assist you in selecting the appropriate type, whether based on project documentation (for new constructions) or thermal loss assessments (for existing structures).
  • Together, we will decide which heating method you prefer: local radiant and convective heat, or connection to a water heating exchanger.
  • We will propose the placement of the fireplace stones or inserts according to the parameters of the selected model (such as the height of the flue gas outlet, external air intake, etc.).
  • We will explain and demonstrate how the fireplace is cleaned, how deflectors are removed, etc.
  • After the installation is complete, we will light a fire together and explain and demonstrate everything to you in practice, if conditions allow.
  • We will explain to you how the basic principles of combustion work in fireplaces and inserts.
  • If interested, we will arrange regular service inspections and revisions. Installation of standard fireplaces usually takes around 1.5-2.5 hours, while installation of tiled fireplaces typically takes 4-5 hours.
  • Installation dates are planned considering the distance traveled, so it’s necessary to expect 3-4 weeks from the time of ordering.

5. Standard installation and connection of fireplace stoves typically include the following

  • Unpacking and placement of the stove at the designated installation site.
  • Leveling the stove to ensure stability.
  • Connection of flue pipes between the stove and the chimney. The chimney inlet must be completed and prepared for connection.
  • Drilling or connecting flue pipes.
  • Repainting flue pipes and stove if scratched during installation.
  • Connection to an external air supply (building readiness for this must be ensured beforehand).WARNING: The seller assumes no responsibility for the method of preparing the building for external air supply. We do not accept responsibility for this solution upon connection!
  • Introduction to operation and maintenance, first firing. Note: Firing can only be done if the customer presents the technician with a valid chimney inspection. Firing is not possible for stoves with a heat exchanger unless the heat exchanger is filled with a heat transfer medium and connected to the heating system.
  • Final cleanup after assembly.

6. What is not included in the price of installation and connection of fireplace stoves:

  • Extra transportation before the installation date.
  • Moving the stones to the installation site.
  • Picking up the stones from pre-prepared elevated pedestals and bases.
  • The installation does not include any masonry or finishing work on the chimney or its parts.
  • The installation does not include any masonry or finishing work on the external air supply.
  • The installation does not include the removal or disposal of old fireplaces.
  • The installation does not include the consumed materials such as chimney pipes, flex hoses for external suction, sealing under the glass, cover for connecting external air (collar), or other small installation materials.
  • The installation does not include connecting the water heat exchanger to the central heating system, plumbing, or heating works.
  • The installation does not include connecting the water heat exchanger to the central heating system, plumbing, or heating works.
  • The installation does not include enclosing the fireplace insert.

7. Important notice regarding the installation and connection of fireplace inserts:

  • When installing fireplace inserts on glass, the customer must provide assistance for handling the inserts. The time required for this is approximately 20 minutes.
  • If the customer does not have the installation area prepared and cleared, or if there is no easy access provided with handling equipment (taking into account a minimum maneuvering space of 1.5 x 1.5 meters), or if there is a risk of damaging the interior or household furnishings, the technician reserves the right to refuse installation without compensation. This is particularly important if there is a risk of damaging the interior, goods, or causing injury to persons involved in the installation or assisting with it.
  • The standard perpendicular chimney breast (chimney entry) must be terminated flush with the plaster, without protruding into the room. Otherwise, installation cannot proceed. If the chimney breast is not at the standard 90° angle (perpendicular to the wall) and is inclined, it may protrude into the room. The chimney breast is a defined part of the structure that can only be modified by a specialized chimney company.
